Public Performance

No, that wasn't the most exciting part of the dy, but it's the biggest event.

And I'm going to apologize now for my horrendous typing. My faake nails are back on and I don't have time to go back and fix every typo I make.

I was sneaky this morning and found out Rebecca's second hour, and then she told me her 8th, so woo hoo, I can send a flower now. If I can get a chance to go to the flower table without half the group following me and teasing me about it, lol.

Humanities was awesome today. We're preparing to write philosphic contemplations about a time we've questioned a tradition. Now, as soon as Mrs, Stoel told the class this, John, Emily and I start giggling 'cause we're all thinking about the big, huge tradition called heterosexuality that we've questioned (and if we'd been in seperate classes, it wouldn't have been nearly as funny, but everything's funnier when you're in a group!)

Anyway, today we went into giggling fits again because Mrs. Stoel read us some examples from previous classes. The best one (well, the one that made us giggle) was about these two guys who went to a video arcade and ended up befriending an employee and hanging out with him until closing time. After the guys went out to wait for their ride, they saw the employee leave and approach his ride, a guy that he greeted with a passionate kiss.

That earned a little bit of a giggle out of us, but then we really broke into a fit when the writer began writing about how surprised he was, 'cause the employee didn't have a lisp, he didn't walk funny and, "No, he didn't hit on me.," That's when we lost it.

So Emily, John and I had the sme idea at the same time: write about some aspect of being a sexual orientation other than hetero. Well, John's already decided that maybe he doesn't want to be that out (and I don't blame him, since some of these may be read in front of the class), but I think Emily and I are still going to. It'll be great.

Then lunch was fine, and the library was fun. Then I went home for about half an hour to grab my makeup kit and a quick snack before heading to the school, which was such a waste. The only people who were there were Rebecca, Monica (Rebecca's friend and fellow prop person), Lyndon and I. Gave Lyndon and I a little bit of a chance to work on choreography and stuff, and Rebecca and I spent lots of quality time together (no, not in any sense that would make all of you lose points. But if I had to explain that, you just lost them. Ha!)

Completely Random: Ross (Crazy California Friend) is such a war hawk it's not even funny. He's talking about how he can't wait until he's 18 and can join the army and all this patriotic bull shit. He's going on about how we didn't become the strongest nation in the world by being week, and if people don't like us it sucks for them and North Korea's next. GAH! Hate people like him! Do I like the situation in Iraq? No. Do I think we should undermine the UN and completely disreguard France and Germany's concerns? Hell no.

Anyway. Back to rehearsal.

Ummm...nothing of interest, really. Had some deep discussions with Rebecca and Travis over the legalization of pot and abortion (don't ask me how we got from one subject to another. We just did). And it was some good stuff.

While I was in the dressing room with Jenny before the performance she asked about Rebecca and I, since she's good friends with both of us. I wish I had a better answer than "we're not doing anything until after MIFA," but at least Jenny completely understood, and was really sweet about the whole thing. She's kinda paranoid about seeming overly curious about anything, but I didn't get that vibe from her at all. It's a natural curiosity that most people have when they see a friend acting like she's 'involved' with someone. I expect questions. Not completely comfortable with answering them yet, but I'll get over it. Eventually.

Performance went quite well. Mic pack didn't fall completely out today (began to slip during the garden scene, but Rebecca fixed it for my song and then we just took it out for scene 7). And Nicole and John made it, yea!!!

Afterwards, April and Laura picked up my slack and asked if we (well, they asked me, but I was Rebecca's ride home, so she was kind of invited by default) wanted to go out. Of course we did, so we went to McDonald's.

And that's where the fun began.

We actually vetoed Laura! It was amazing! The girl got vetoed before I did. Well, I said some stuff that was veto-worthy tonight, but Rebecca did't mind, and April and Laura couldn't ~evil grin~

Anyway, we were talking about this guy and the suspicions some people have that his girl friend only wants him for sex. All of us think that's a little nasty 'cause...well, none of us can imagine having sex with this guy. And in Laura's words "He's like a rock." And she went on to say sme other stuff that I lost 'cause I was laughing too hard, and so was April, but Rebecca hadn't caught it so I just poked her and managed to gasp out 'veto her!' before I lost control again.

Good times. Good memories. And lots of dirty thoughts that couldn't be vetoed ~Hattie laugh~
