What a weekend.

Yesterday was my grad party, which rocked. Almost the whole group showed up (Jake couldn't make it :-Þ), and so did other random people, like Don and ~squeal~ Sondra! She was an hour late, lol, but luckily I had stuck around to help clean up/open my presents. So Sondra and I hung out for awhile before I headed over to Jake's to hang out there.

The party was crazy. I loved it, lol. We were running back and forth from the playground outside to the TV inside (we had the video from "Rosencrantz" playing. We (especially Chris) wanted to watch the MIFA tape, but the TV didn't like us and would only play "Rosencrantz"). It was crazy fun.

Amanda showed up, with Kory (from "The Boyfriend"), which was awesome. Oh, and Crackwhore never showed, Amanda!!! If I was going to Happy Hour on Friday, I'd yell at her, lol.

Lots of people my parent's knew from church showed up, which was freaky because I didn't remember half of them. Kind of awkward. But I survived. And they gave me gifts, which is always good, lol. I'm actually about to go spend the one Mrs. Iverson gave me ($25 to Barnes and Noble). Other than that, I mostly got money, then some bath stuff (obviously from people who don't know me 'cause I'm just not into that whole smelly-bath-stuff thing. I think that's straight girl domain ;-), a nifty sun catcher thing from some store downtown, a beach towel (yeah), a Tupperware breakfast kit thing (all in black. Score!) and, from Brad, a T-shirt from their play. It's huge (a large. Chris offered to trade with me for a medium, lol) but I like it :-).

Okay, so after my party I headed over to Jake's. Wow. Jake becomes obsessive-complsive very easily, lol. I told him that Amanda was going to be coming by later to pick me up and I was going to go spend the night at her place. Well, Jake immediately starts grilling me for information on what our plans are for the night. Including if I'm going to be getting any "action." And he was serious. He really wanted to know. I had to answer truthfully, I didn't know. Amanda's just flirtatious enough with me that I didn't know if she honestly just wanted to talk, or if there were some ulterior motive behind trying to find out my "type." Then Jake wanted to know if, on my part, there was any attraction. I, again, told him I didn't know. Sounds like a cop out answer, but I have impeccable logic that even shut Jake up, lol. I have to be really careful when figuring out if I like someone who I know is gay because I need to figure out if I like that person just because she's convenient and available, or if there's some honest attraction there.

When Amanda showed up to pick me up, the first thing she asked was what we were going to do. Which of course led to giggles from Jake, April and I (the only people left at that point. At other points during the evening, Nicole, Brad and Britt had been there). Jake was supposed to come up with an itinerary for Amanda and I to follow, which we would then report back to him on how everything went so he could figure out how much currency is in the "Gay Community Action Pool".

Yeah, I don't think I want to explain that one.

Anyway, he slacked off and didn't come up with anything, so Amanda and I came up with our own, which we left purposefully vague when we saw him today to let him jump to his own conclusions, lol. We went shopping (where we picked up a bottle of Sparkling White Grape Juice), went on a romantic moonlit stroll (she had to walk her dog, lol. At 11 at night), then stayed up until 4:30 in the morning.

Talking, people. Talking.

And it was fun. We agreed that we should have done this a lot earlier. We've never been alone together, it's always been in a group, and there are some things that just can't be discussed in a group.

Like Leila's identity, Nicole ;-Þ

Yeah, Amanda was baring her soul to me in a way, and the time felt right to tell her about that whole fiasco (which I've decided I may not be as over as I like to think :-Þ). So Amanda and I had lots of fun.

So...when I got home today, I called Jake 'cause I needed to talk about some crushing-stuff and I told him that now....I don't think I'd be completely opposed to dating Amanda. We had a lot of fun last night and this morning. But practical-Angela has to step in and remind me that Amanda has a lot of issues of her own that would probably limit our comfortable-ness in a relationship. And it'd probably be just a summer-fling, which I don't want to have with a friend. Relationships between college and high school students rarely work, because they're such totally different social spheres. I wouldn't be opposed to a summer fling ~cough~Holly~cough~, but it'd have to be with someone that I'm not going to have a lot of contact with after the summer, thus eliminating my current circle of friends.

Okay, so, this morning Amanda and I got up around 11:30, watched some of "Kissing Jessica Stein" while eating chips and salsa for breakfast/lunch, then we went out to Walgreen's to buy her hair dye and we ended up walking out of there with over $40 worth of stuff.... He hair dye, and then a bunch of stuff we used to psych out Jake and April, lol. She bought me a black feather rose, awww! ;-)

Nicole's party was fun. Most of us sat on Amanda's and April's cars for most of the afternoon, drinking lots and lots of Coke and talking and just generally being us. It's probably one of the last times all of us will be together like that. ~sigh~

Jake and I sang our song there, very quietly. Most of the conversations around us continued (though Nicole and Britt tried to shut people up), but we still sang it. And I'm sure it was amusing to see because Jake was sitting on Britt's lap and Brad and I each had an arm around the other, lol. I think he was trying to gain honorary-lesbian points ;-)

Oh, BTW, Brad:
HARDCORE LESBIAN~ What can i say you love girls. you want them and
theres nothing wrong with that. You dont care
whatever anyone thinks of you when your making
out with another girl or flirting or whatever.
you just dont give a damn and thats cool. Lots
of girls wish they could be like you and not
care about their image.

Are you a lesbian (girls)
brought to you by Quizilla

Yea!

Okay, so, after the party (during which Brad and I said, once again, we need to get together to watch Moulin Rouge and A Clockwork Orange, yet never even mentioned a possible date, lol. We need to figure that out!) Amanda and Nicole and I thought we'd head over to Muskegon to the drive-in theatre to see Bruce Almighty. But as fun as it sounded, I really don't have the money to be spending $7 on that movie. It's a movie that could wait for video. Then again, if I get bored enough this week while everyone else is in school, I might end up going to see it, lol. I was also kinda tired and inexplicably bummed. And now I'm watching the Tony's, which isn't helping, surprisingly. I think it's 'cause they're doing a dance sequence from "Movin' Out" (I believe) and I know I'll never be able to dance like that. ~sigh~

Okay. I'm going to have to spend my B&N Card later because I have to get off the comp if I want to watch said Tony Awards. Everyone else should be watching them as well 'cause Hugh Jackman is hosting - AH! I just looked at the screen and...gah, he has shoulder length straight hair...it is not a good look for him. Sarah Jessica Parker thinks it is but...whoever said she had good taste?

Okay, going....
