A Night of Highs and Lows
High: Good looking girl, Holly, at call backs tonight. She seems to take a special interest in me, i.e. we manage to stand next to each other when standing in a group, we talk at break, she changes her seat after break to sit next to me. All this starts after a game of freeze where I proposed marriage to another girl. I begin contemplating how to casually get her e-mail.
Thursday, Jun. 05, 2003 - 12:14 am Low: Holly mentions after the audition that she has a boyfriend :-Þ High: Called at 10:48 this evening; offered a role in the play. Turns out it's going to be one of the biggest roles in the show since other named roles (there are only 5 or 6) have been split up between various actors. I sing four songs, including "A Noun is a Person, Place or Thing," "The Great American Melting Pot," "Elbow Room," and "The Preamble." None of them are exactly my favorites, but at least I'm not singing "Adjectives" again, lol. Low: The show is not actually Schoolhouse Rock Live. It's Schoolhouse Rock Live Junior. There are only about 8 songs in the show, if I'm remembering correctly. This sucks. But it's a show, and it's better than doing Joseph again. Low: First read through is tomorrow night. When I work. And it really wouldn't be worth it for me to go to Grand Haven after work. I don't think I have the gas to get me there and back. Hopefully Holly made it into the show as well. Hopefully this won't turn itself into a full blown, pathetic, straight girl crush a la the Leila situation. However, if Holly breaks up with her boyfriend...maybe she's bi. She was definitely very affectionate with me today. How many of you out there hug someone the first night you meet her? And tell her you love her? I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed. Maybe. Do I really want to get myself tangled up in a long distance summer fling with a girl three years younger than me? Probably not. I'll restrain myself. Providing, of course, she made it into the play. She certainly has a good chance. And I'm not just biased because a) she's hot and b) she sang "In a Little While" from "Mattress" for her audition. Seriously. Stop giving me that look. --Angela -
