Spring Break Adventures

Only two days into spring break and I've already had an adventure :-) This is gonna be the best break ever, lol.

Well, Rocky Horror Picture Show is showing in Muskegon yesterday and this evening. I, of course, wanted to go. A chance to see RHPS in a theatre with an audience? Too good to be true. I invited Jake, Nicole and April to come along. Nicole, who lives under a rock, has never seen Rocky and Jake's only seen it in bits and pieces. April loves the movie as much as I do, I think. So we were all gonna pile into my car and take off for Muskegon.

And then the weather turned bad.

First Nicole called and said her parents wouldn't let her come because of the freezing rain, and then when Jake and I got to April's, she said that her parents were keeping her home for the same reason.

So Jake and I either have parents who don't give a damn about us, or trust my driving ability. Or know that I'd be a bitch the rest of the evening if I couldn't go, lol.

Unfortunately, the weather really was quite bad. It was freaking snowing up in Muskegon. We ended up being about twenty minutes late for the movie, so we decided to just turn around and head back home.

Easier said than done.

Long story short? I'm directionally challenged. Ended up in freakin' Newago before I could get to an exit and turn around. And it didn't help that there was a freaking ice storm.

First we were gonna go see a movie in Grand Haven, but we didn't get there until 8:30, so we decided to just go home and get food at Steak 'n' Shake. Which is always fun. We sat around at the oversized booth (I swear the table was a good two inches higher than normal tables) and just talked about completely ireverant stuff for...awhile. Mostly about the play. We came up with a play to end the play in the event that Jake falls off the stage and is incapacitated. So long as it happens in the third act. It happens before then and we're screwed. But since Hamlet's supposed to die anyway, Amanda and I could just skip ahead and in the script and finish off the show.

Work today was blah. I worked for less than half an hour, and that work was walking around to every store in the mall and giving them coupons. Do you know how cold it is out there? I was okay for awhile, 'cause I just told myself that the snow didn't exist, but eventually even my imagination couldn't hold it back. But work was completely dead, and since I was only scheduled for three hours anyway, I decided I didn't want to stay. I'm gonna be working enough this week to make up for it.

Okay, now I'm gonna go pack my bags and do a few last minute chores, then head over to Jake's for...who knows how long. Then over to Mrs. Rutan's. Yea!

On Wednesday people from the Mattress cast are heading to...some bar thing downtown, and the under 21 crowd from the show can get it. I'm not working that evening so...Amanda? Jen? You game? (Jen, did Amanda ever give you my e-mail? It's at yahoo, the name is empress_ange. No, I'm not paranoid about spam, lol)

Okay, gotta run.
