Busy Day
Took Dana to the train station this morning, which meant I had to wake up at 7 :-Þ And wanna know why? So Erin could say goodbye to her properly (they're dating). Erin's dad offered to drive.... And while I sympathize with the situation, I feel slightly taken advantage of.
Friday, Jun. 27, 2003 - 12:53 am Ran all around town this morning shortly after Dana got on the train to Chicago. Dan wanted to go to the library, so I took him, but Mom's lost his library card, and he can't get another one without a parent signature. Then we went to Blockbuster (had to pick up RHPS, afterall), but got there about 20 minutes before they opened. So we sat in my car listening to the Rocky soundtrack ;-) Introduced John and Chris to the joy of Rocky Horror. Had a long argument with Brad over who's better, Magenta or Riff Raff, then we made up a fantasy cast for the show if WO and Wyoming were to get together to perform the show. Brad Riff Raff, I'm Magenta, Jake's Frank-N-Furter, John's Rocky, Chris is Brad and April's Caliope. Oh, and Lyndon's...either Eddie or Dr. Scott. I think he'd be better as Eddie since Eddie sings more. I'm not sure if we ever came to a definite conclusion on that one. The so-called Wyoming actors are the Transylvanians and...all other roles are open, lol. Cruised the mall after movies. Decided we probably weren't going to have any luck in the Holland mall finding me a girlfriend. ~sigh~ But had fun anyway. Except for when the creepy parapalegic started hitting on me. ~shudder~ Even when I was sandwiched between Chris and Brad he wouldn't let up. He came over to Brad and I while Chris and John were elsewhere and started talking to us, commenting about how beautiful my eyes are. When Chris and John came back, the guy started telling us what was basically his life story, including the motorcycle accident that landed him in the wheelchair. He complimented my eyes several more times during the conversation. Chris, Brad and I were all trying to come up with ways to rescue me, it turns out, but we never carried any of our plans through, lol. Most of them revolved around me throwing myself at one of the guys like we were together (Brad and I actually expected the guy to make some comment about him and I being together, but nothing happened ~shrugs~). After Creepy Guy rolled off, we wasted more time by girl watching and analyzing all the women who walked by, lol. Then we went to Captain Sundae's and played Freeze! Yay! Rehearsal was uneventful. A lot of parents were there tonight since they were taking their kids to pizza afterwards, and they complimented me afterwards while I was waiting for Holly to sort out ride issues with her mother and boyfriend. Yeah, I narrowly escaped having to give her boyfriend a ride as well. But the compliments I got were nice. They were all about my expressiveness and versatility (really showed off by Great American Melting Pot and Elbow Room. I'm all sweet and nice and telling a nice history story in Melting Pot, then I belt out the uber-low Elbow Room with lots of attitude. Oh, and we can't forget the family-friendly-sexiness I exude during Conjunction Junction. Yeah, we're turning good ol' Conjunction Junction into a cabaret number, hee hee). Had a good talk with Holly on the way to pizza. Came out to her in the course of the conversation and she hardly batted an eye. one of her good friends is bi, so I don't have to be the novel "first gay friend". Didn't like the idea of spending pizza night with her *and* her boyfriend, but he seems like a pretty good guy, so I can't begrudge her that. Too much ;-) Going out again tomorrow (today) with the guys, so more fun stuff is in store. Going to bed now so I don't fall asleep while out with them. Who knows what sort of stuff would go on ;-) --Angela -
