Seriously. The only thing I'm contributing to society is economic stimulus as I'm spending money like I really shouldn't be. But I picked a good time to quit work 'cause I got a pay check the week I quit, and I'm getting another one this week. Go bi-weekly pay schedules!

So on Friday I went to the mall with Cameron and Chris. Wow. What a day that was, lol. Two gay men and a lesbian in Victoria's Secret. You figure out all the fun we had ;-)

Bought pretty rainbow thigh highs at Hot Topic. They aren't exactly summer stockings, as they're knit, but they were too pretty to leave in the store. I also figure if I wear a short enough skirt and skimpy enough top they'll make up for the stockings ;-)

We saw 'Pirates' at the mall. I loved it :-) The official count is at four people who think Captain Jack is gay ~grin~ And we all came up with that idea independently (Cameron and I had the same thought when Jack was walking along the docks the first time: he's either really drunk or really gay. I mean, he was the best dressed of all the pirates. Did you see any other pirates accessorizing with beads and scarves? I don't think so), so we have to be right, hee hee.

Went back to the mall on Saturday to see 'Pirates' with my family. Bought pretty rainbow bracelets at Hot Topic. Heh, I love that store. I wonder if there's one by Eastern...?

Sunday was spent going through 'Pirates' withdrawal. I swear I'm not going to obsess over it like Amanda does (I only do that for my musicals ;-), but it's a rockin' hard core movie. Everyone should go see it.

Divas Las Vegas pop up: Shakira was rejected from the school choir when in middle school. No freakin' duh. The girl really can't sing. A lot of the women on here can't.

Anyway.

Monday I took Britt thrift shopping. Yay! We found some awesome finds, including black leather pants for her and blue vinyl ones for me. I also got green cargo capris (comfy stuff for wearing around the dorm), blue rhinestone earrings that would have been perfect for prom, a Coke glass (again for my dorm), a cool white blouse that has hook and eyes all up the front, a pair of jeans that fit perfectly (and eerily match the shorts I was wearing) and...an authentic cowboy hat. Both Britt and my mom plan on stealing it for me (though Mom refuses to admit it). I'm quite proud of that one. It smells horrible, since it's real leather and all that...but with the jeans and the white blouse and the hat, I look quite Western. What scares me is there was an article in the paper yesterday about how western styles are become fashionable...but how many of those teenyboppers (who are spending almost $100 per outfit) have real cowboy hats? Yeah. I didn't think so.

Okay...tonight or tomorrow Baby Eric and Jeff, from the Barn are coming over for dinner. Which is gonna be weird. Do you know how long it's been since we've eaten at the dining room table, let alone had people over for dinner? I think we may have eaten there at Christmas....though I definitely don't remember the last time we had people over. But I love Baby and Jeff, so it'll be fun. They'll probably want to steal my hat, too (they want to steal my Audrey Hepburn hat).

In other news, I've been writing again :-) Working frantically to finish up 'Breakdown' before I leave for college. And I think I'll be able to do it. I'm working on finishing the behemoth Chapter 10 now (I wanted to stop at one point, but the chapter was way too short and now since it's been so long since I originally started the fic I'm allowing feedback to influence how the fic goes so this chapter just won't end) and then I can only see, at most, two chapters after that. Maybe one chapter and an epilogue. I don't know. It depends on what my muses want to include in Chapter 11.

Okay, speaking of the writing, I'm gonna go do that now. And get food I think. Yes. Food is always good.
