Loss For Words

Dah.

I hate being the practical one sometimes. It can be nice, since I do enjoy helping people out and giving advice, but sometimes I think people want me to say only the things they want to hear, which can make me like a bull in a china shop during delicate situations since the practical side of me says that if you're talking to me, you're waiting to hear my opinion on the subject, yet I know that my opinion isn't what's going to make everything all better fast.

But is providing lip service to the downtrodden really helping anyone?

I love every one of my friends dearly. But sometimes I feel like I'm being pulled in a dozen different directions. And I hate it when my life gets "soap-rish." I want to help everyone, it's part of my nature, but too often I feel like I'm going to do more harm than good the moment I open my mouth.

Sometimes I'm glad I'm going to college just to get away from it all, you know? College is going to bring its own set of problems, but they'll be different problems, with different people, whom I won't have a history with so I can start over fresh and don't need to walk on eggshells around since my real friends are all here.

Or in Arizona :-Þ

In other news...we all pick on Cameron 'cause he's easy.

Malaysian men can now notify their wives of divorce via text messaging. The hell?

And go NYC! Opening the nation's first public high school for gay and lesbian students. Jenny mentioned this earlier this evening, and I was hallucinating and thought Harvey Milk High School already existed; it was actually a two-room program within the NYC school disctrict. But now they've got a whole school. What would high school be like when every one of your class mates knows exactly what you're going through in terms of family and dating life? I'm jealous of those kids. Best of luck to those kids in NYC. And :-Þ At the state conservative party leader or whatever-his-title is. No, there isn't any 'gay math,' but is there 'pregnant mother math' or 'fashion model science'?

Oh, and the vatican is going to issue some sort of statement about how the issue of gay marriage should be handled in public forums. :-Þ at the vatican. No offense to any one who reads this who is catholic, but the vatican really pisses me off sometimes. All the damn people who are against gay marriage piss me off. How does two women getting married harm anyone else?

Dude, I really should end this entry. I have a lot of pent up...emotions after today. I'm going to go. Maybe play a little bit of Sims before my computer decides to freeze on me. Then sleep. I have to go to Saugatuck tomorrow (woo hoo, one of the best cities outside of NYC :-) I don't think I'd want to actually live there, but it's a great place to visit).
